12/27/24 UPDATE
Please be advised if your OSHA 30 card is about to expire (five year from date of issue):
Although the NYC DOB no longer imposes an expiration of the card after five years if issued the SST Training Connect Card, there are agencies/general contractors such as the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and School Construction Authority (SCA) that require all workers on their projects to have a valid OSHA 30 card that is within five years from the date of issue.
To avoid being denied work opportunities with such places, it is advised that you take the 30 hour OSHA course again to maintain a current and valid card.
Please be advised if your current SST card is now within one year of its expiration date it will need to be refreshed no later than the expiration date listed on the card. As per NYC DOB requirements, if you do not refresh your card prior to the expiration date, you will be required to take the entire SST course over again to receive a new card. There is no grace period given for cards that are not refreshed prior to the expiration date.
