Child Care Help is on the way!
SMART (Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers) has announced a groundbreaking partnership with TOOTRiS, a leading provider of on-demand childcare services. This initiative makes SMART the first building trades union in the United States to offer nationwide childcare benefits to its members.
Starting February 1, 2025, local 28 will provide members with premium access to affordable childcare options. This benefit aims to support working families, especially apprentices and young families, by addressing the significant barrier of childcare costs and availability.

Because planning is an essential part of running a business or a project, ITI Business Development introduces participants to the tools they need to plan for successful business ownership from carefully choosing a business name, to hiring and keeping the right people, to bidding accurately, to keeping track of cash flow and more.
